I am Ellen Grant the mother of 3 children. Having experience homelesness for many years myself, I develop a desire to help others in the same situation.
Homelesness is difficult to deal with especially when you have children depending on you. So my heart goes out to parents with children that are unhoused. My heart also goes out to single people that are suffering with illnesses requiring special help. This is the reason we as Homeless Services Foundation exist. We are here to help house and provide basic needs and services to people that call us everyday. Every month we receive over 500 calls from people that are homeless, and from case workers trying to help their clients. We are glad we are able to provide housing and referrals to meet their need.
Since Homeless Services Foundation began in 2020, our organization has provided services to many during this covid crisis. We are happy we have been able to help so many people in the Los Angeles County with full service and affordable housing. These services has been provided with care, dignity and equality.
We are committed to providing our clients in crisis with clean, safe, and comprehensive needs based living arrangements that cannot be found elsewhere.
Join us in helping those in need. You will received a tax-deductible receipt for any donation you give.
Homeless Services Foundation is a 501c3 non profit organization.
Our process focuses on our core belief and philosophy that the personal, physical, and spiritual well-being of our clients must come first. We take an inter-disciplinary approach to our foundation management as well as a team approach to our service offerings. We partner with numerous local and state non-profits as well as governmental entities in order to best meet the needs of our community and comply with their requirements. We could not meet the need of this under-served part of our communities without the help of our generous partners at Carr's HOME of Compassion.
Unlike most providers that have a checklist of requirements, we prefer to take a holistic approach.
Most of our clients typically originate via a shared referral source. Often times this could be a doctor, nurse, case worker, social worker or even another clients’ family. Doing so allows our qualified staff to better understand the special needs of the particular client and therefore make decisions on what is best for them.
Our mission and philosophy stems from four key components: Respect, Empathy, Self-Learning and Pride of Ownership. We personally believe that housing is a universal necessity that creates positive change for all of humanity. With housing and the above key-tenets, we believe that we can impact change and help our clients better their lives, and have a positive impact on our communities. Our mission is simply to improve the lives of our clients through affordable, all-inclusive housing environments which are centered around respect, empathy, self-learning and pride of ownership.
We provide a wide variety of special needs housing options. Some of these include, but are not limited to:
